Why is static electricity stronger during winter season?
Its everywhere from doorknobs to cars(after driving),hair, shirts... its not like that during spring and summer.

Because everything is dryer in the winter months. If you use a humidifier in the house it cuts down on the static by introducing moisture into the air.

The air is drier, so static can build up easier. People wear more clothing that can create extra static too.

Static electricity builds up faster in dry air. Moisture soaks up and releases the extra electrons thereby dampening static build up. Since the air can't hold as much humidity when it get's colder, static builds faster.

The air is dry and this helps accumulation of electrical charges created by friction between bodies which are in relative motion.In a moist weather such charges leak away by conduction due to atmospheric moisture.
