The Philadelphia Convention was the grope of people that wrote the constitution of the united states.not just one man it was written May 25 to September 17, 1787, they were supposed to just be fixing the articles of the confederation. but soon saw that they need a new document to hold the young country together.so they locked them self into room where they were and wrote the document with a guard posted out side so nobody could hear what they were saying but if u want some names the biggest names were
gorge Washington
Gouverneur Morris
James Madison
Alexander Hamilton
Jefferson and John Adams were not there because they were gone but did send letters supporting the document Patrick Henry was also absent, he refused to go for he "smelt a rat in Philadelphia, tending toward the monarchy.
