Whistler - Hands down. The biggest in North America (7000+ acres). The highest elevation (5000 ft+). The most diverse terrain - from xtreme double diamond chutes in Blackcomb Glacier to the open Harmony bowl in Whistler side to the wide long groomed cruisers in both Blackcomb and Whistler. And did I mention the best ski village this side of Atlantic. Close to Vancouver (< 2 hrs drive).

I was looking for a single suggestion, as I do not have the time to go to multiple destinations. This answer provides that, along with reasons why. Spot on.
The ski village is on the right side of the Pacific ocean, isn't it?
