I don't think you can tornado proof a trailer house. They are the worst place to be during a tornado. The tornado will rip it apart even with rope holding it down.

there may not be enough rope in the world. this comes from someone whom spent the first 28 years of his life in tornado alley. a f2 twister can devastate even the best tied-down trailers.

There isn't enough rope out there. If a tornando hit it you might as well kiss it goodbye!! Sorry

actually you don't want to use rope as it will just add tension in the wind which can lead to tears in the metal when it fatigues.
Use "bungee" ropes (elastic cables) instead. Your trailer won't blow away and the metal won't be as fatigued by the strain and they aren't as likely to break as rope.

I don't think all the rope in the world will help to save your trailer house should a tornado come through. They simply aren't designed to withstand that amount of wind and pressure. However, if you're set on wanting to tie it down, I would take the length of your trailer and multiply it by four. It's just a guess!
