Kenya or Canada, which is better?

Question

My friend from India, who later immigrated to Kenya, then to Canada, thinks that, in every aspect that Kenya is far superior to Canada. He claims that everything including housing and healthcare are better there, I think not. Maybe Kenya is better to those who are wealthy, but this not the case with him.

yeah, if u have money..then u are going to have a great life anywhere...there are more opportunities in other places i would guess..a friend of mine moved to Canada a few months ago..sure, u have to start from scratch..but u wouldnt compare the two..Canada's better off...i know I sound very unpatriotic..but hell..u got ministers being car jacked..which happens to be their fault anyways since they pay themselves way too much money when they should add more people onto the force..i tell ya its so easy to hate this country..

Perhaps based on his personal wealth, he can get more for his money in Kenya, where the cost of living is lower than in Canada, so that's why it seems better in Kenya. As a general rule though the quality of life is far higher in Canada (one of the highest in the world).

I'm Kenyan, but I thought that Canada has one of the best standards of living in the world. I think if you go from Kenya to Canada, you become "poorer" because life is more expensive in Canada. My experience is in the USA, but for example, the amount of money you'd spend to rent a spacious three bedroomed house in the suburbs would only get you a one bedroomed apartment here.

that is easy for me. canada. because kenya is very dangerous and canada is pretty safe. everywhere has dangers but kenya has more than canada.

kenya. canada is western and comes with western attitudes. if you have money in kenya it is the best place to be.

Canada was voted the best place in the world to live by the UN for three years in a row, I don't know where Kenya is on that list. : )
