I was raised in the east end of hamilton and remember two runways. was there ever a military or training base located there

There used to be a Hamilton Air Force Base in Marin County Ca. It closed down in the 70's.

There was an Airport East of Beland Avenue in east end of Hamilton.I think the access to it was at the end of Barton street or Dunnsmuir Ave.I used to go down and watch the cessnas and other small craft take off.OF course that was 63 or so years ago.I am 73 now and memories fade.
