Hi..
the C.F.L. is it's own , unique brand of football, and a proving ground, on a bigger scale, than N.F.L. Europe and the Arena Football league.
Also, what no one has failed to mention, is that THE N.FL. has a 4-YEAR working agreement, with the N.F.L. negotiated by Commissioners Tagliabue, and Wright, where the N.F.L. pays a year stipend of $1 million dollars per year to the C.FL. with agreement rights on players. One of the biggest benefactors to this agreement was Casey Priniters, now of the KC Chiefs. The three down, passing game of the C.F.L. offers the Americans and Candians alike, a different brand of football. An, arena-football league game, outside, if you will.
The C.F.L. needs to do a better job of marketing its product to the States, with better television coverage and it needs to look to better financial backing in their league cities. Also, it needs to do a better job at marketing its merchandise, and expanding its rosters to include more, imports and a bigger roster. Say what you will, but, imports are more skilled than their canadian brothers at playing football at this stage. Thus, if you want to make your game more exciting, bring in more imports, and get the Montreal Franchise out of Molson Stadium and its 20,000 seats and back to the Olympic dome where more revenue can generate full time.
