I've got some expired vicodin myself. I asked someone in the medical community and he told me that expired medicine is just not as strong as it used to be but that it doesn't suddenly turn poisonous after the expiration date. It's just not as effective.
I don't know if it's true or not but if I'm hurting bad enough, heck, I'd take it.
Try an Internet search engine to find out what that other stuff is.

Hydrocodone and acetaminophen. AKA Tylenol. I would dump it. It does weaken after a year and will just get you sick if anything

Medicine that has been THAT LONG out of expiration could prove dangerous. The chemical components of medicine changes over time and could cause harm. It might not but better safe than sorry. Also, the medicine has probably lost much of its potency. Flush it! You should NEVER take medicine that is out of date (especially FOUR YEARS).

Vicodin is hydrocodone and acetaminophen (tylenol). But don't ever, ever, ever take any kind of medication that is 4 years old. The chemicals in the medication start to break down over time and they can become toxic which means if you take it, you could do alot of damage to your organs or you could even die.

Do not take it. Chemicals die down or change. You don't want to mess with meds that are over 18 months old. Granted Vicodin may be safe but you sure don't want to take any chances with it.
If you really have to take some call the pharmicisit. There are plenty of Wallgreens that are open 24 hours a day.
Last thing you need is to take one and the chemicals are so out of whack it does damage to your liver or kidneys.
