At the time of the Columbian Exchange the estimated population of North and South America was at least 40 million. Due to imported pathogens, in a few centuries these populations fell to just a few million.
"Over 90%" is the wide accepted percentage.

- I did want to know whether all the bands/tribes that existed in pre-european colonized North America are still around today? I heard that 90% are not considered to extist today.
