How can I find news article from Halifax, Canada?

Hello thanks in advance if you're replying to this post.

Last February 2006, my son and I landed in Halifax , Canada. We were on a US military medevac, it had to land there to save my son. By the way I really appreciate Canada, they saved my son's life. IWK is the best. I will never ever forget the Dr's and staff there.

Ok back to the question, when we were to leave via medical jet from Canada, with the Canadian crew. There was a man from which I believe the Halifax news. He was asking what I thought of Halifax (mind you I loved it). And how it was a happy ending to what could have been a sad story.

I myself have not seen the footage, due to the fact after they flew my son and I to Washington DC, I didn't have contact with them until this year. I would love to see the footage, maybe even get a copy to show my son when he is older. I tried looking for somethign on the internet about it, but I cant find anything.

I do know it was aired on the news in Halifax.

If it was a local station, and not one of the networks, my suggestion would be to contact the CRTC, our federal regulator of television and many other types of broadcasting. Website:
http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/consumer.htm
or phone 1-877-249-2782

They should be able to give you the names and contact info of the local stations.

You'd have to first find out, was it local news, provincial news or national news. Second, if provincial or national, was it shot by Canwest, CBC, or CTV?

It would be the equivalent of me asking how to find a news article from Detroit.

Once you've narrowed down the company that shot the footage, a phone call should be able to track it down. The exact date time and location would help them out.
