What did the British leave behind in Zimbabwe culture?
Zimbabwe was taken over by Great Britain in the 1800's. Does anyone know what things have been left behind by the British that affect the culture today? Language, government, culture, daily life, foods, holidays, almost anything would work- Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I'm from Zimbabwe and the culture hasn't changed all that much.... the real shona and bush men still live there ways as they have always done, i think i am right in guessing that English men brought trade and business to the country. When the British come to Zimbabwe they brought guns, pots, pans ect... so in that way yes it has changed but the real thing is we'll never really know how Zimbabwe would have been if the British left it because the native Africans would have invented pots and pans ect in there own way as they did. But don't forget that the main reason why British people came to Zimbabwe/Africa was because of the slave trade. I'm not sure if I've helped u much but if u want to know more about Zimbabwe contact me.
