I am looking for an article that may have been in the Vancouver Province or a Victoria newspaper, fall of 1990

I am looking for an article that would pertain to the signing of a deal between Coulson Forest Products and the Ehattesaht Tribe. A picture of my grampa Earl Smith with his foot on a stump would have accompanied it. The deal was to denote the transfer of 2.5 million dollars to the Ehattesaht Tribe, and notes that the money would be used to build the community of Ehatis, Ehattesaht IR #11, in Zeballos. How can I find a copy of the news for my scrapbook?

That's aparently about the deal. it' has your gramps name in it. The "Vancouver Sun" online archives only go back 30 days. I think you might be able to call them and get a photo copy from archives. I wasn't able to find any images of him. earl smith isn't exactly unique. But I'll keep looking.
