Vicodin while working out/conditioning?
My sleep pattern is out of wack and I wanted to get enough sleep for tomorrow-- I'll be doing a couple hours of high intensity cardio/conditioning in the evening.
Will vicodin (I was prescribed it for a shoulder injury) have any effect on me tomorrow? Won't the drug itself and it's side effects already be long gone from my system by then?

there is no real way to determine this it depends on your body chemistry or body make up. vicodin affects people differently. for instance it doesn't affect me other than to help with pain, where it makes my friend totally tired incohertent, and my mother in law will be on cloud nine for days. it also depends on the dose

it may make you a little slower and you may have than hung over feeling. Even if you did not have that feeling before just because you need the sleep. Have you tried Benadryall? The ingreidient in that is the same as tylenol PM just with out the tylenol. Your reaction time maybe slowed from anything that will aid in sleep.

The effects of Vicodin last about 4-6 hours. If you take it at night, it should not impact your workout the next day, especially if the workout is in the evening of the next day. Pain medicine affects people in different ways. However, even if Vicodin makes you drowsy, its effects do not last more than 4-6 hours.
