Pregnancy: contractions or cramps?
hello. I am 35 weeks and this is my first baby. I have been getting braxton hicks contractions more frequently now, but also now I am getting what feels like period cramps? they are spread apart, but they do hurt sometimes and I am just wondering is this normal? I dont want to go to the dr {unless you think I should} and have him call false labor. also, I am pretty sure his little head{well doesn't feel little} is sitting in my pelvic bone. is this normal also for as far along as I am. any advice would be helpful. thank you

the dr will tell you the same thing. go in if your contractions are consistent every 5 mins and not a minute more or you have ruptured your bag.
if it goes away or comes at different time intervals, they are braxton hicks. or pre labor. your body is getting itself ready for the real thing so its gonna get worse and worse as you get further along. you just have to walk it off, or lay down.

That all sounds perfectly normal to me. The cramping is just more intense contractions. Whoever said Braxton Hicks don;t hurt was crazy.

Well, at least give th doctor a call so he can give his opinion
but for me it sounds like your baby's little head might be pushing on you when the baby moves. Trust me, when you get the contractions, you'll know it!

the head thing sounds normal and braxton hicks dont normally hurt alot. the beginning labour pains feel like painful period pains so i suggest going to the hosp even if they do say false labour atleast you will know. All the best!
