Society benefits from less abortions + less teens having sex. Would an organization like Planned Parenthood?

Admit it, whether you are for choice or life, an organization like Planned Parenthood BENEFITS from more people getting abortions, and more teens having sex. They would not like these numbers to go do b/c their money will too. What do you all make of this?

HELLO, even liberals say that abortion should be safe, legal, and RARE, EVERYONE wants the number of abortions to go down

Planned Parenthood does NOT endorse abortions although they will find you a doctor if that's what you want. They usually just help a girl find the Pill or some other birth control device. The choice to abort is up to the woman in question. They are not in league with the doctors who perform abortions. They just reference you to one. Planned Parenthood depends on people who give donations. Nothing sinister there.

I think you're pointing to a conspiricy theory that is so far off the mark, it's alarming. It's the far right (other than human nature) that's to blame for more abortions and more teens having sex/babies. Are you on the far right?
    >>Do you make a dime from other people's needs or suffering? Almost everyone does. I'm in tech support. Was I happy to see Vista? Well, I had mixed feelings, both compassion for the paid-by-the-customer testing that Microsoft always does, but the businessman in me new there'd be money in such a buggy, different OS. Should cancer cure research come under the same suspicion? I guarantee you that there'd be a disproportionate amount of people at Planned Parenthood who, if they could, would give up their specific job if it meant that only 10 unplanned pregnancies could be avoided. They could do other social work, deliver pizza & be an artist, or enter corporate America. If you're pointing out the businesspeople at the top,.....well, they're a necessary evil. The beatniks actually helping people in the centers probably wouldn't know enough about business, accounting, or marketing to keep the organization afloat.

Planned Parenthood has always had a hidden agenda. Look at its history of eugenics.

Well Abortions are in many cases caused by deficiencies in society which stop women from having children and having equal oppurtunity to work. Abortions are an expression of women wanting to control their own destiny instead of being marginalised by society. Women have to choose between their reproductive role and there freedom of choice.
Maybe you should look at the social problems causing abortion rather than looking at abortion rather than abortion as some phantom social evil with no source. This is what family planning organisations attempt to do, i think they would agree with you because they believe in giving people choices that society tries to take away from them. Society should concentrate more on tackling prejudices associate with unplanned pregnancy in the workplace for all women and for young girls in family and school and furthermore a developement of adequate childcare in society to deal with this. This would be instead of concentrating on how "evil" abortion is or how it is the "right" of the woman to choose. Abortion raises difficult moral issues for all involved and for the women involved especially who i doubt would so easily define themselves as liberal or conservative or whatever, they would define there experience in relation to how they want to progress through life. Which should by all means be facillitated not just through abortion but some of the things i mentioned above.

Abortion is not the problem, society is.

When I first read your question I was like, og those organizations are just ridiculous! But then I relised: what is the harm in being teenage parent? They can begin their life when they are mature enough, in their 20s, when their child has grown up into a teenager him/herself.
Those organizations like planned parenthood can help benefit society by preventing any unwanted pregnancies and supply decent sex ed. which would perhaps decrease the number of young parents anyway.

Planned Parenthood's primary function is to provide gynecological exams, treatment and birth control to women who have no insurance and could otherwise not afford it. Their clients are not only teenagers. I'm not sure why you think there is something sinister there.

Why do you thinkg society benefits from Less abortions? It stops people who don't think they are ready to have a kid, from raising a kid. If they are not ready and don't want to raise a child, it is probably better for society that they don't raise a kid!!

planned parenthood was not established so they could make money off peoples mistakes. They're there so teenagers have someone to come to when they need help. I mean yes, business is business, but they aren't only making money off of abortions, people don't always go their because they're pregnant. And if that is how you think things are, you need to look around a little harder.

People need to either keep their legs shut or accept the responsibility for their actions and either adopt or raise the child that they make together instead of aborting it.

Do you know what causes less abortions? More abortion rights. The rate of abortions has been dropping since Roe v. Wade. Also, comprehensive sex education, though it may not stop teens from having sex, is more effective than abstinence-only education in preventing teen pregnancy and STDs.

Not all Planned Parenthood clinics perform abortions and not all women go there to have an abortion. Planned Parenthood is a good place for lower-income women without insurance to get routine gynecological procedures and birth control, which they otherwise might not be able to get. I used their services years ago when I was newly married. I obtained birth control so I wouldn't have a baby before I was ready to. I notice many people who oppose abortion also oppose birth control and think it would have been better for someone like me to have had a baby at the age of 24 and not ready for the responsibility instead of waiting until the age of 30 and being ready for it by that time.
