Were you dissappointed about this year's all-star weekend?

This could just be me but I actually had high hopes for this year's all-star weekend. I thought that most of the all-star game was a bit dry up until the last couple of minutes when it actually became exciting.

All-star Game:
- There weren't as many flashy plays that I was expecting (no T-Mac, Carter, Shaq)
- Too many shooters
- A lot of turnovers
- I wasn't really into the Halftime performances
- I wanted to see some killer crossover from A.I, Wade, Roy, Paul (didn't happen)

Dunk Contest:
- Rudy Gay and Gerald Green weren't that great

TNT:
- Not enough Charles Barkley ( this man is hilarious, only reason why I watch TNT)

I agree... I think the dunk contest this year wasn't that great with the exception of our superman of course....

the actual all star game was boring chris paul kept going for the threes...and sadly wasn't making them....Lebran James shouldn't have gotten the mvp award...it should have been allan ...but hey you win some you lose some....

......over all disappointment

The west was boring for the whole 3 quarter .thanks god they can back in 4th !

and from dunk contest
i expected a lot from rudy alot but we all know what he did .
but i loved dwight drama !
and i missed barkely too

I thought it was pretty good overall. I agree about Halftime maybe being better.

i was only furious because KOBE did'nt play, hopefully he will be back on top next year, he will lead the west...

I didn't watch the end of the game (which was apparently the best), but I did catch everything through the 3rd quarter. As a Blazers fan, I was pleased to see Roy get the most minutes of all the players for the West, and I definitely think he could have had 9/10 instead of 8/10, (he missed a wild alleyoop from Paul on a breakaway when nobody from the East was around), but his statsheet was fairly typical: 18pt/9bd/5ast. I was kind of disappointed that the West lost, but all in all, the game was outstanding. (Especially first quarter Kidd/James/Howard) Looks like the newest Clark Kent is a near 7 footer!

That's what I told my sister. This year was kinda boring. I really wished Kobe played, maybe it would've helped. KG sat out too and he's pretty fun to watch. Lebron Dwight Melo AI nobody did anything that great to make the game fun.
i hope next year is better

I personally think that the worst thing was those half-colored uniforms. apart from being ugly, they were also confusing, so instead of watching the game you spend most time trying to understand, who is playing which team. the game was not that bad, but NBA should do something to make the guys compete. like giving home court in the Finals to the winning conference. I am sure that would bring some fire to this game.

and how come none of the commentators even mentioned those uniforms, what are they, blind? I would love to hear some salty Chuck's comment about them, for sure.

by the way, I liked the dunk contest a lot, more than the game
this year.

I thought it was way better then last year especially with dwights performance. The 3 point competition was stacked up other then ray allen the only one not being in their. The skills comp was alrite and the shootem challenge was good. Now towards the allstar game I thought it wasn't up to par because shaq wasnt in it and vc and tmac werent in it. The halftime show wasn't too great either. And for gerald green I think he pulled off every single dunk that he was possibly capable of at the dunk comp. As for rudy gay I thought he just didn't have the creativity and pure leaping ability as green adn diwght. Just like barkely said gay is more of a in game dunker .

i think its the worst all start ever. No vince carter who brings the all star with his dunks , no t-mac, no shaq, no kobe. Wack dunkers. Too much jump shots in the all star games. Not enough actions

I was so baffled by the awful uniforms, half the time I couldn't tell who was on which team, what idiot decided to put white on the front of one team and on the back of the other, when they were running down court with the defense going backward I could never figure it who had the ball and then they kept shrinking the screen to interview players on the side you might as well forget it...that was the WORST all star game I ever saw...and I quit watching at the 1/2 because the uniforms drove me crazy...let them wear their own uniforms...at least with those I could tell white from color. Awful!
