What do you think about getting a...?

I want to be able to make it a mohawk when I want, but I also want to wear it down when I want (job interviews and whatnot). What should I ask for or tell the person who is cutting my hair? I really dont know what to ask for, so I need your advice.

you're right, it is a fauxhawk. "faux" not foh.

I say go for it! :) It's a nice cut and I've seen it before and it looks good either up or down.

tell the hairdresser what you said in your question. they are proffesionals and as long as you tell them what you want you should be fine.

o my gosh. i love david beckham and his hair is amazing so anything like that is really cool. just ask for a fohawk (i dont know how to spell it) its a fake mohawk. you just get it a little longer at the top and kinda spike it up a little so you dont have a full mohawk but still get the same effect.

but anyways....if you cut your hair specifically for fohawks then you won't be able to have it straight because it'll just look lumpy on the top

I can't stress this enough..make sure you go to a qualified hairstylist. Do NOT go cheap! You will be sorry if you do. Avoid the chain hair cutting places at all cost! It may cost you, but you'll be glad you went to a reputable stylist. Bring the picture and tell the stylist exactly what you told us. BUT! Beware the stylist that won't listen to you! If the stylist won't be patient and listen to what you want..get out of the chair immediately and move on to another one.
