Ok...first off, half these answers are stupid, i'm in the fitness field and running won't help your triceps, that's the muscle that looks like you're flag waving....it's a muscle that needs to be alienated to work it, as in tricep dips, the post above describe how to do them very well, you will not get much tricep work though out of a pushup, better for the chest, and believe it or not your abs, to tricep extensions, many ways....hold a ten poud dumbell over the back of your head keep your elbows stable and lower the weight behind your back then up again, do this slowly, in between reps, shake it up a bit and add a three count pulse, little pulses then drop the weight behind you, you will feel a burning sensation that means the exercise is working, you can also hold a dumbell in one hand keeping the elbow still extend your arm to the rear and bring it back again....you can actually work your tricep muscle and see a difference even if you never do any cardio the two are not linked, so don't let people fol you. it won't take too long to see a difference in your tricep, but be ware it's a ***** to recover from if you hurt it, so go easy when you feel the strain stop or your arms will be killing you, you should also do some bicep work so that you're also working the front of your arms as well. this will prevent looking lopsided, or just plain weird, good luck.

When you have time, you could do some excercise? Probably running could help, cuz when you run, move your arm around. swing them. lol

haha girl, i deal with the same thing.
ok well, do you lift weights?
well, if you do i would say bench less, but more reps. this tones your body more, rather than making your arms bigger.

but if you dont lift weights often, try with a 5lb dumbell and bench with it. just lay on your back and push up with them.
    also, pushups and pullups.

its not really easy to burn weight fast, its takes a while to do it right. but basically any work out with your arms can take fat and replace it with muscle eventually. but its gradual.

Push ups and Bench dips work biceps and triceps. For bench dips find a fairly low chair and sit over the edge holding yourself up by your arms on the edge on the chair and lower yourself down and up - do repetitions 3 sets on 10 to get going - same with push ups.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that, you will have to lose fat also, this is accomplished by running wind sprints, and doing a set of pushups at the end of each sprint, recover with walking and repeat. The pushups will intensify the sprint and also tone arms. Also burpees work wonders for body composition, do pushups every third burpee if too not in good shape. Look up burpees and interval training. Remember to do a set of pushups after every sprint. If you don't like sprinting run distance but do it fartlek style, by running backwards, running hard and than backing off, stopping and doing ten pushups ten squats and than start running again, you will achieve a much more quality workout if you run in this manner. It's tough but it will work ,and nothing else will.

Dumbells. you probably want less weight and more repetitions. To save time, rest one muscle group while you work on another. Try curls and tricep extensions. Push-ups are good too, but remember, you're not trying to impress people or yourself by doing tons of fake push-ups , but trying to use proper form to get a good work out. Back straight, go all the way down, elbows at 90 degrees or less, and all the way up.
Since all of these exercises use gravity, slowing them down increases the time during which resistance is applied, meaning that your muscles overcome more inertia from the weights, meaning that they are more effective.
Finally, just keep on going. And going. And going. do it while watching TV or listening to music. A good workout should be at least 30 minutes a day, but you can extend that as long as you feel comfortable. Weights should be less than 15lbs, probably closer to 5, but do what you feel comfortable with. Go until you can't go anymore. And STICK TO YOUR ROUTINE EVERY DAY!

For a little extra, pay attention to when you lift things like books or your backpack during the day. You lift them slightly higher or more often than necessary. Carrying things in a bookbag transfers weight from your arms to your shoulders, so you might want ot hold stuff with your hands. And quit making your date hold your books.
