Names for twins?

Question

I will be having twins in September and my boyfriend and I just found out we're having a boy and a girl! We would like to have opinions on some names we're considering. We travel a lot for our jobs (as in living in other countries) so we're looking for names that are easily pronounced in other languages, especially in French. We still haven't decided on what the last name will be, it's between Bell, Canning-Bell, Bell-Canning or Canning.

Here's what we've found so far (girl, then boy):
Madeleine (Maddie?) and Oliver
Beatrice and Lawrence
Justine and Nicholas
Charlotte and Alexander
Katie (maybe Katherine?) and Thomas
Blake and Samuel
We really like Beatrice because it works in a lot of languages, but it's pretty rare in English, so we're hesitating. Katie was also one of our favorites, but then we thought about Katie Bell in Harry Potter, and now we're not so sure. What do you think?

I like: Madeline and Oliver,
Charlotte and Alexander
and Katie and Thomas.

I personally don't remember the character Katie Bell in Harry Potter. Neither Katie nor Bell are unusual, so I wouldn't worry about the reference.

Blake for a girl? I like it as a boy's name, but not for a girl.

Oh and for the last name (if you're interested in opinions on that), I like Canning-Bell, I think it runs well.

Can you imagine Maddie and Olly Canning-Bell - very cute!

i absolutley love madeline and oliver, my second fave is charlotte and alexander, then blke and samuel, then beatrice and lawrence,then katie and thomas,and finally justine and nicholas..hope i helped and congratulations!

Charlotte and Alexander are so so so beautiful and elegant. Alexander seems like a name for a dashing, dark haired hunk with green eyes and Charlotte is a girl with porcelian skin, freckles, and red curls. Those are gorgous names and congrats! I would go with the last name Bell.

First of all congratulations on your twins!
Second, I love Charlotte and Oliver!Or Lottie and Ollie for short!
Your right on the Beatrice thing it is a very old English name! But just to let you know my name is French and is easily pronounced in many countries! It also means love. Plus I'm pretty sure Oliver is French!
As for the last names I think that it is a nice idea to try and incorporate both your names! I like Canning-Bell! Hope that helps!

Madeleine and for the boy..I like Samuel. I saw that you also like the name Katie, you could add to it a bit and use Katelyn, which can be spelled lots of ways :D

Beatrice and Lawrence, hmmm. I like Lawrence but not Beatrice. Bridget and Lawrence? Betty and Lawrence?

Justine and Nicholas. I just don't see these two as 'going' if you know what I mean. Christine and Nicholas is beatiful though and my absolute fave on this list.

Charlotte And Alexander are both nice names but nothing exciting. I do like the nicknames Lottie and Alex though.

Katie and Thomas is good but I wouldn't consider Katie as a name, just a nickname. But that being said I don't like Catherine so what about Kate and Thomas, both are classic and simple names. or Peta and Thomas?

Blake and Samuel sound like boy/boy twins. Blair and Samuel might work.
