Lump behind ear?
I am 15 and yesterday I found a lump behind my left ear. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before and I don't have it behind my right ear. It feels hard like bone and it isn't causing me any pain, but I would like to know what it is and is it anything to be worried about?
It is quite small, the size of a pea, and is not on my ear but about 1cm back from where my ear joins my head.
Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a lymph node to me. Get it checked, but I think its supposed to be there.

- Yep, went to the doctors and turns out you were right. Thanks!

Could be a part of your normal anatomy or could be a benign growth, please go to the doctors though as a good lump is a lump in a jar ok.

Sounds like you have an enlarged gland, which unless you feel ill, is nothing to worry about. Its just your immune system working away at getting rid of nasty bugs or viruses. If it is still there next week, pop along and see your doctor.

I had a lump behind my ear when I was about 16, went to the doctors and it was swollen glands due to glandular fever.... if it's bothering you go and get it checked out for piece of mind!

Swollen gland and they can take months to go down.
