It depends on what the theme is.. For example, if its a princess theme, then, you put princess notebooks, princess pencils, princess fruit snacks, etc. OR if its for a boy, and the theme is GO, Diego, Go! ( like I did for my 6 yr. old son), I had a bag in bright colors (orange, blue, green), inside were 6 different jungle stuff because he's 6. Ex. pencils, cookies, a jungle animal or two, a chocolate bar with a go, diego, go wrap. Instead of go, diego, go, my son's name was put in the middle of the go's (Go, _____, Go!), same thing goes to the bottled water with a go, diego, go wrap around with my son's name in between the go's too.. other than that, I had his birthday in a Jumpin' Jammin since the show Go, Diego, Go is always in the jungle, swinging here and there.. Plus, just before the children's said their goodbyes, as part of the party favors, I had the children put their hands in a black bag like a mystery bag, and whatever they grab inside, without looking was theirs to keep. Of course, they were afraid at first, even the parents were too, with the suspense, excitement and all.. But in the end, after feeling the slippery, slimy long hairy thing (an 8" worm that glows in different colors), once they pull out the toy in their hand, the joy and happiness of what color and what was that they grabbed, showed in their faces all the way through.. and they all go home happy, children, parents and even their little siblings too..
