I am a Westerner attending a Punjabi wedding, what is appropriate to wear? how covered up should i be?

so long your not wearing a mini skirt and tight belly top you should be fine.

I'm presuming your white, right? well, normally at Punjabi weddings when white people attend they just wear a long skirt and nice top.

just ensure that you feel comfortable in what you wear, and if your going to the ceremony (so the gurdwara) ensure that you have something appropriate enough to sit on the floor in.

Men will wear a suit that is dark with brown & blue while other will wear suits that will have bright colors (blue, orange, brown & multi colors). Women will wear a traditional Punjabi dress in bright colors brown, green & multicolors. Wear something to cover head as a long scarf, Men will wear a head covering such as a long scarf with white or colored scarf.

I think in this situation,the best thing to do is ask the bride or groom (whomever you are the invited guest of).
