In what way is the exploration of outer space beneficial to mankind?
1.Why do we need to explore the outer space?
2.Why do we need to explore the planet--Mars?
3.Why billions or trillions of dollars is being dump into exploraing the outer space when there are thousands of millions of people starving out there?

If you have to ask, you obviously lack the intellect to appreciate concepts such as discovering the unknown, understanding our place in the universe etc.
You need to have a look at the world and just how much money is actually spent on space, compared to other things such as the arms industry. It's miniscule by comparison. There is more than enough money going around to feed everybody without bringing progress to a grinding halt, which is what you appear to desire.

1. We need to explore space so if we stuff up on earth we have somewere to destroy next.
2. We need to explore mars because the same reason as the question 1 expect it is close and possibly livable.
3. So when all the rich people stuff up the earth they can save themselves.

why do people waste time asking silly questions on yahoo answers when s/he could be out there helping the millions of starving poeple out there?
