After watching the brilliant opening of the olympic games I wonder how the hell London can ever match that ?

In a democratic country of just 60 million people, it's impossible to match or better it.

However I'm sure the ceremony will be surprising, entertaining, and spectacular in its own way.

Remember that London has hosted the Olympics twice before, in 1908 and 1948, and the UK is generally considered to be a modern democratic country, so we have a lot less to prove than the Chinese do.

Good answer. The Chinese will have us beaten with the fireworks and sheer numbers of extras so we willl have to come up with something which is different but unique
