How can i convince my parents to let me wear black nailpolish!?!?!?
I am the preppiest girl you will ever meet.Alot of the preppy girls at my school wear black nailpolish and they all have blonde hair, just like me. I have blonde hair too. and its long. Some people have told me I look alot like Lauren Conrad from, "The Hills". And she wear black nailpolish all the time on the show. And I am 14. My parents think I am going to go gothic or soomething if i start wearing black nail polish. But like i said, i am the preppiest girl you will ever meet. I mean like, hollister, american eagle, abercrombie preppy. It looks good and i love it but they wont let me wear it. How can i convince them otherwise??

Start out with a super dark purple, burgundy, or navy. Let them get used to it. You could even try doing your nails in pink or red and just do the tips in black, and see how they feel about that.
Sometimes it's hard for people not to associate black with goth... but just work on convincing them that black is only a color and it shouldn't be associated with any one style.

well i am not preppy but just try asking them and telling them that its just somthing you would like to do and not a lifestyle choice you just think it looks cool

Tell them that your friends wear black nail polish, as well as celebrities and models in magazines. Say that you understand their concerns over you looking gothic, but explain to them how that is the opposite of your style. Try showing them some images of Lauren Conrad wearing black nail polish, and they will surely be able to see for themselves that she is nowhere near gothic. If all else fails, sneak the nail varnish out with you and apply it when you're out of their sight, but remember to bring some nail varnish remover as well!

So the only reason you want to wear black nailpolish is only because everyone else is doing it? How bout not being a sheep and take the lead, start a new trend in nail polish colors. Do what YOU like, and not what everyone else THINKS they like. Its not fulfilling. Have a little confidence in yourself and your own abilities to throw on some colors that you think should be the next big things, be a true fashionista.
Maybe some royal blues or deep purples for example. Or heck, throw caution to the wind and mix some colors and styles up. Thats real confidence. People may question you at first but at the end of the day, the rest of them are sheep and will eventually fall in line if you have the confidence of a leader.

Tell them it's in style. Show them pictures in magazines or online.

Tell them that it's just for a certain school day and then maybe they'll say okay. then keep wearing it until they notice...unless your parents are more alert than mine.

You don't have to wear black, you could always wear dark purple.
