Thoughts on upcoming Couture vs. Lesnar fight?

Dana White just announced this title fight for UFC 91. Im a huge Lesnar fan, But shouldnt Noguira fight Couture 1st? He is the interim champ

Maybe Lesnar hasnt "earned" his title shot, but who has? The heavyweight division is lacking any real contenders
and Lesnar did humiliate the guy who was supposed to give a spark to the division in Heath Herring. Couture is a legend, but he's 45 and coming off of a long lay off. Brock Lesnar wins easily. Too Big and too strong, Couture is gonna get beat

I agree. Brock Lesnar should have to fight Minotauro first, even though I am fully supporting him. But it just doesn't seem right because he doesnt even have consecutive wins yet. He lost to Frank Mir but then came back and beat Heath Herring though.

But oh well, you cant change the fight booking even though Lesnar VS Minotauro would be awesome. Lesnar should definetely win this. If he can beat Herring then he should have no problem with a 45 year old that hasnt fought in nearly 20 events.

I think Dana is trying to embarrass Randy, because think about it, if brock wins, that kinda sucks for randy. I think Brock should be given more time to prove he's ready. I think Brock v Noguria would be better.Jiu Jitsu v Wrestling.

Noguira is fighting Mir first because of The Ultimate Fighter season 8. They were signed on to be coaches and face eachother quite a few months back.

Couture is fighting Lesnar because Dana White knows that the UFC can get record ppv numbers. Lesnar only has one victory in the UFC, he hasn't really earned a shot at the title.

I cant really belive this is going to happen, imagine if Lesner wins, does that make him the UFC heavy wieght champ?, they have enough problems with having a poor HW division, you get your best guy back and you have him fight your biggest joke? i can understand they want to make money but my god. If Lesner actually finds a way to win it will be awfull. then he will have to fight big nog. And if they got randy back for the rest of his contract why not go after Fedor, his promotion lets him fight with whoever. I just think this is terrible, I cant think Dana White and Joe Silva actually believe Lesner is even close to worthy of a title shot, even in the UFC's HW division. I have been a supporter of thier match making decsions knowing that they have to try to make money they were still doing ok with giving deserving title shots, now this and having BJ Penn fight GSP before giving Kenflo a shot is just ridiculas. I cant believe this.

Yeah it should have been Nogueira to fight Randy first, but they already have the whole TUF thing lined up with Nogueira and Mir on it and scheduled to fight after it is over. Nogueira is the interim champ, so I can only assume that the winner between him and Mir will face the winner of the Couture Vs Lesnar fight. (Couture)
Brock is a big draw because of his WWE background, so the UFC is just looking to make for a BIG payday by lining this fight up. Lesnar has a lot of physical advantages over Randy, but Randy has all the experience and is a master fight planner. Personally I'll take brains and experience over brawn any day, so I think Randy will have to weather Brock's storm and then will handle him to win the fight.

It's all about the $$$. We all know that Couture is going to win. But, both fighters will sell tickets like hot cakes. So, smart business move by Dana White. This is Couture's last UFC fight. So, mind as well as just make as much money from him as possible.

This is a great fight. If Randy wins then you set up the Fedor vs Couture match. If Randy loses you set up Randy vs Liddell 4. There are still good fights left for Randy in the UFC. This is a 3 fight contract, so we will see how this plays out.

Does Lesnar deserve the title shot, no, Werdum probably deserves it more. But we can't blame Lesnar for taking the chance of his MMA life when its offered to him. Dana White is a business man first, and no other first fight for Randy makes better sense. At Randy's age he can wait until March for the winner of Nog and Mir. Brock vs. Randy is a great match up anyway you look at it and I'm pumped to see it
