A strong currency in general means that the value is very high, meaning things are more affordable for Canadians. A weak currency means that the value is low, meaning that you need a lot of that currency to afford something for Canadians.

A weak currency for foreigners is a good thing because then they can import and export thing at a cheaper trade price.
