here are 3 fires burning in the Okanagan west of Kelowna. They have been burning since yesterday afternoon when strong gusty winds quickly helped the fires to grow. The good news is winds were calm overnight and this morning. This afternoon winds could pick up to 20km/h but we are not expecting the winds to gust like yesterday. Tune in to Global BC for the latest.

It remains hot and dry in southern BC. The long range forecast calls for sunny skies and no precipitation.

Hi Jill , Our Mars Water Bomber may be called there to fight the fires . They are headed for California but may get sent to Kelowna instead .
They are huge & have made us proud !!!

we get a lot of them in summer ...i just hope your safe ...something else for me to worry about ...keep in touch lovely lady...put my mind to rest ....seamanab x
