Not allowed to sleep together?!?!?
so im 20 my boyfriend Kaeta he is 25
and when ever i go over to his families house and we stay over were not allowed to sleep together..which i guess i understand cause they are Korean but i mean...ive dated him for 3 years. and were still not allowed to
and its the same with my Godparents. whenever we go over to their place we arent allowed to sleep in the same bed together. like this halloween. seperate rooms seperate beds. its ridiculous. i mean about a year ago there was some abuse in our relationship but its getting better. but could this be why? or is it just cause they are prudes. i mean they already know i have sex and im not going to have it at their house
can someone please explain to me what i can do to get this fixed?
for both places

Some people, especially older people, think that it is morally wrong for two unmarried people to share a bed. You have to remember that it is their house you are staying at, so their rules apply (right or wrong). If you don't like it, I suggest you stay at a hotel near the family instead of staying with the family.

Obviously these people have old fashioned values and they feel unmarried people shouldn't sleep together. Maybe if you can assure them that you won't have sex at their house, just sleep, they might reconsider. If the choose to remain set in their ways, you need to respect that even if you don't agree.

you probably will never get it resolved. and it would be great if you just accept that your family and his are just old fashioned.

It's a respect thing. They just want the best for you. Out of respect you should sleep in seperate beds.

It isn't that uncommon. They're just more conservative. Don't stay at those peoples' houses if you can help it.
