How can i convince my parents to let me text?

My parents are always telling me that i don't need 2 txt, but it makes me feel sorta left out... are there any good ways to convince them to let me get texting? btw, i am responsible with my phone and i've never gone over my minutes... and iv'e had my phone about a year and a half!

ask them to give you a month or to to proove that you wont mess around
& tell them it seems more apropriette to type then talk in public when its
emergencey, example you on the bus going home after school and you
forgot homework, you ask a friend, they type the list, no need for you to
go huh? repeat. wait i needa write it down. theyll give in, or maybe not
im great at convincing my parents even though there very strict there also very gulable
but i dont hav a phone no more :| school dont allow it so there like you dont
need it. hhmm. o well lol good luck :)

well you could say that texting is quieter and you dont talk so if you are in alibrary and studying instead of talking outloud and interupting anybody you couldjust text. Or ifyou are somewhere busy and cant hear the person talking on the other side then text.
