Well, I have a female min pin and she was terribly hard to train. Every now and then she still messes on the carpet.
Have you tried puppy pads? The dogs will go on those and what you start to do is slowly inch it towards the door every day. And then one day put it outside the door. It's supposed to put in their head "Hey, I'm supposed to go out here!" It worked for my dog.

    it's just a new environment. they're confused. dogs don't just come potty trained, no matter what age they are. start them on a potty schedule. take them out first thing in the morning. and then start by taking them out every hour till they understand that the potty is outside. use a word for pee and for poop. like "go pee" and "finish" for pooping. you can use whatever word you want, but pick a word. this will make it easy and they'll start peeing and pooping on command. arm yourself with treats so as soon as they're done, you can reward them. this will also make them go to the bathroom faster if they get rewarded when they go. as they start having less accidents in the house increase the time between going outside so they learn to hold it. taking them out one last time should be the last thing you do before bed. crate them at night and when you're not home until they are fully potty trained and you trust them in the house.

    ADD: DO NOT use potty pads or diapers. diapers will not potty train the dog. and potty pads will only confuse the dog into thinking it can pee in the house. only allow the dog to pee outside.

    I am also a Min Pin owner. And let me tell you, they are one of the HARDEST breeds to house break! (Research will even tell you this). It's like these little guys have minds of their own, and NO ONE is going to tell them what to do! :}
    Crate training is effective if done properly. (Do some research). And, yes, the new environment is probably a contributing factor, as well. I am fortunate enough to be home in the day time. I still have to take my girl outside, every 2 - 3 hrs. (Plus, I do two, 20 min. "power walks", EVERYDAY. Just make sure you are properly crate training and get into an hourly routine and take them outside on leashes. Hope I helped! HAVE FUN! (Love my Min Pin!) :}

    if you go to the pet store the will sell all different sizes diapers pants that dogs can wear and wash easy to do and there are also diaper sheets pads that you can use one sheet all day and you put it one clean sheet any where in the house but dont put near by the foods.

    Take your puppy outside for a bathroom break every one to two hours during the day. Plan a middle-of-the-night potty run for young puppies.

    Here's more info.
