What color window treatments should I use in my bedroom? Details.........?

the walls are fauxed painted in light beige and purplish brown (<-- every other wall) the bedding and lamp shades have Chocolate brown color... with ivory sheets, that I fold over when the bed is made, so the sheet color shows.

The window is ont he brown purplish brown wall. Should I use an ivory curtain and sheer there, or something dark, like the wall? Also, could I make the sheer dark, and have the outer curtains light? I don't know much about window treatments! Thanks!

Do you want the room to be bright or dark?

My suggestion would be to pick the ivory curtains, but something with maybe a brownish accent color. Swirls or vines would add elegance or blocks for a modern touch. A dark window scarf would frame the curtains well, and I would say pick a light sheer as well, the dark ones make the room seem more musty. You want something to offset the dark lamp shade and covers.
