WHAT SEASONING CAN I REPLACE SAGE WITH?
Im making my famous dressing for thanksgiving, which includes lots of sage. My grandmother, who will be eating with us, just informed me that sage makes her stomach ache. What seasoning can I use to replace it ?? I was thinking rosemary. Is there another thats a little closer to the taste of sage.
thanks so much !!
Additional Details
I agree with number one, but.. we just found out last month grandmas got cancer.. so Im going to do what I can to accommodate her. but I would otherwise completely agree.

I for one am not a fan of kowtowing to the dietary needs of one person. If grandma can't take sage, give her the responsibility of taking a smaller portion or opting out altogether. In my world, dressing REQUIRES sage (it's any wonder your "famous dressing" contains a lot!. It is THE herb that makes Thanksgiving dinner what it is). Sage is a taste and smell memory that will remind everyone that it is Thanksgiving. You can use rosemary or thyme, but the idea to make one person happy above everyone else (including making you change your famous recipe) just isn't fair.

I'd make my famous dressing for Thanksgiving.
I'd want to please my grandmother for Thanksgiving too. So, I'd probably make some Stove Top or something like that for grandma and set it aside. I've learned the hard way, don't try a new recipe on company, test it out first.

rosemary, basil, thyme? I think you would get similar results with any of these. good luck!
