Who can I go to to have a custom shoe made?

I have pain in my feet and loose fitting clogs help with the pain. Are there places or online places I can go to have custom shoes/clogs made (that aren't too expensive)? Do podiatrists do this?

Podiatrists do not make shoes but they have information on who does so. In any case you would need to see one who will give you a "prescription" to get the shoes made. They will measure your feet and give specifications on the widths, height of the heals etc.

If you go by yourself to a shoemaker he might not make the shoes with the correct specifications required to ease your pain.

Check your local yellow pages for custom shoemakers. It is better for you to find someone locally.

I was thinking the same thing about shoemakers that might not cure the pain because I went through many shoes to find the ones I'm currently wearing and a lot of pain.
