How should I tell my mom i want to shave my legs?

I'm 12 and in 6th grade a lot of people shave there legs mine seem to be hairy but I don't no how to tell my mom i want to shave

I had the same prob. um I was a whimp and just found a razor that was unused and hacked away dont make the same mistake, tell her what U just told the people on the internet, all she can say is no or your 2 young, the is the next messure come talk to us yahooers if that happens :D bye!

Go to the mall with her, walk by the aisle where they sell shaving products, and put a razor in the basket.
Or, go to the store yourself and buy one.

That's what I did when I wanted to use tampons instead of pads, but did not want to ask my mom. I went to the store, bought myself a box of tampons, and a few months later when she saw the box of tampons she started buying them for me when I'd run out.

Simple as that. It's your body and your choice, so either buck up and say "mom, can you buy me a razor", buy one yourself or buy one when you are shopping with your mom. All I did was use the razor heads that my mom purchased for her and my sister. There were always unopened ones, I would use them, and I never actually said "hey mom I want to shave". I've never actually told her, and it's not something you need to talk to your mom about unless you feel that you need to.

If she finds out, or you ask her, and you two talk about it, it will for sure be awkward. You might even be embarrassed. But just remember - it's a part of growing up, and you will only feel awkward for a short time, whereas your legs will remain hairy for the rest of your life. So what's worse, feeling awkward and embarrassed around your mom for a few days, or having hair legs because you don't want to buy your own or talk to her about it?

Okay im 11 im in 6th grade i started shaving my legs infifth i didnt tell my mom becuase i didnt need to because nothing is wrong with it twice a week in the shower i shave my legs cuz my mom buys those 1 time use ones lol so yeah tell her that pplz make fun of you she will probably understand lol mine wont she said i cant shave my legs till im 21 lol haha but thats my problem so yeah lol good luck :))

oh man i remeber when i was 12 and i wanted to shave my legs. What i did was i found an non used razor and did it myself. My mom noitced like the next day and got mad but then realized when they grew back it was best that i did shave them so then she taught me how to do it the correct way bc the first time i gave myself razor bumps

this is what i did. i went and just said. hey, mom when did u start shaving? and then like whatever she says just b like, well, were u this hairy when u were my age? (even if u arent hairy just say that) and then just ask her. and like ask her if she can teach u (if u dont know how) and THERE U GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD hope it helped xD

I'm the same age as you. I started shaving beginning of 5th grade, so did all my friends. My mom made me haha. well, just go up to your mom and just ask her. mom can i shave my legs? they seem to be pretty hairy and i dont want the other girls to make fun of me. good luck!! :D

Just come out and say it, don't be scared , your moms been through it before.

Do it whilst your dad, brothers and sisters aren't around.
If she asks why, just explain about school.Moms are usually are okay and understanding about this kind of thing!

i had the exact same problem in the summer! However you ask its going to be awkward but don't be scared. I told my mom alot of my friends shave and its really embarrising when i wear shorts to school. If she says no start to cry and say that it so EMBARRASSING!

Dude just shave them. Its not like shes gonna yell at you for shaving your legs is she. I dont know why you feel you need to tell her. Unless you want to i geuss. But why would she be angry? Im confused.

Say " I want to shave my legs"
Then show her you legs and say "cuz they are hairy"
