2012 class ring......?

Question

I'm a sophomore right now and i was looking to get a class ring. My mom said that she would pay for half of it if i pay for half. This means i got to put in $135.I just wanna hear you're opinions do you think that class rings are worth it? If you have any story's to tell please do. THANKS!

Well, it depends on what style you're getting. I'm a sophomore, too and I already placed my order. My school has a lot of different options, so I chose a nice slender, simple one in silver with a sapphire that looks pretty much the same as a regular gemstone ring. I hate those huge, bulky ones -- they're just so gaudy and ugly -- words cannot describe them. But, I also agree with Alex. You could get other things instead. It all depends on your budget and options (please don't get those hideous bulky ones).

I graduated in 2008 and I got one but I made it not to expensive and like I thought I dont wear it. Just memories but you move on quickly after you graduate believe it or not. Shortly you will be wearing your college school colors and stuff.

I'm a junior and I haven't bought a class ring. I think they are so not worth it, they are really expensive, and frankly kinda ugly and chunky. I wouldn't waste my money on it, just being honest :-/

ick...please dont waste your money on one of those....they are so gross looking.
my cousin bought one and wore it for like a week.
just think of what other things you could do with that money, like travel out of state :)
