What is your opinion on this "style" choice?

Question

First off, I am not engaged nor do I have a BF...I was talking to a friend about what we each wanted our wedding to be like...Flowers, the color theme. and dresses we liked...etc...But I made the comment that when I get married I will wear my favorite shoes, which happens to cowboy boots.
I lovelovelove cowboy boots and you can definitely cut a rug with em' to. Well my mom over heard me saying that I will were cowboy boots to my own wedding, and with out missin' a beat she said over my dead body...lol.
Well I want to know what other peoples opinion's are on this style choice...lol

I dont plan on getting new "wedding" style cowboy boots. I have a great pair, that I do everything in. I will wear normal every day cowboy boots.

I think it's awesome. The one thing that you get total control over is what you wear - so you might as well wear something that you love :)

I think white satin bridal shoes are so boring. I wear red heels to work all the time - they're kind of my "thing." I will absolutely wear red shoes with my wedding gown.

its really up to you, i went to my fiances brothers wedding a few weeks ago. How his wife isn't an overly girly person, she's a mechanic and is quite a tomboy but does scrub up really well and has been wearing dresses and things a lot more lately. She wore her t boots (work boots) under her long ivory wedding dress and everyone thought it was awesome.

my wedding is beach themed. My future hubby and I love the beach. A wedding should be what you both like. Make sure you marry a cowboy!

If cowboy boots are your "thing" then go for it. There are enough brides out there who just wear plain white dresses and are too afraid to express their individuality

Love it - it's adorable. They have lots of "modern" style cowboy boots made to go with wedding dresses. It doesn't mean you wear the actual pair that you wore through the mud. You will realize when it is time for you to actually go through the process that your mom (and everyone else involved) will try to push their opinions about what is acceptable. Part of the fun of planning your wedding is making it uniquely yours. But also part of being grown up is that you make a few compromises to keep mom happy, especially if she is chipping in. You could always wear traditional heels to walk down the aisle & for photos. Then change into the boots for a few cute pics & for the reception. Show your mom some photos on-line of it being done tastefully... when the time comes and she will probably come around.
