Don't listen to the guy up there but when a guy wants to get to know a girl better just means he wants to know more about her like the things she likee and stuff , wants to get closer to you and not be a stranger like he was in class because you guys never actually talked i think. Its like when you get to know one of your friends better and you guys start to feel more comfortable around eachother and end up bestfriends or close. but the guy miight end up asking the girl out when he finially knows her more or he will just be a close friend and flirt .

so, pretty much what everyone before me said.
but to expand, it means that he thinks there is probably an attraction and wants to spend more time with her to see if shes right for him. i reckon he has feelings for her and thinks they could be stronger if they have more things in common.

he probably wants to make sure it will work out before he rushes into anything and maybe take it slow.
