So this guy stares at me all the time but what is his deal?

Question

THeres a guy in my Calc class and he always stares at me when he walks in or even leaves the class. When I came in late once he was staring at me the entire time. Once before class I was walking behind him to go to class and he stopped and waited for me to walk in front of him and started walking behind me. So eventually I sent him a message on facebook....2months after staring at eachother....and said I can never catch him when I want to say something to him because he always walks out of class early. He replied saying, "You wanna say something like what?" Thats when I bagan to feel awkward. So I said to get to know you or to just speak to you. So he told me he wanna be upfront so he let me know that he is talking to someone right now and wanna see where it goes,
So I been wondering have I been reading him wrong because I took that as rejection. Maybe he is talkin to someone maybe he's no and just not interested or Im not his type. I just wanna know what you all think. l just ended up saying to myself OHWELL!

You haven't been reading him wrong. He is attracted to you, but is dating someone else (who he is probably also attracted to). He likes to flirt with you a little, but will not initiate a conversation because he believes it to be "crossing the line" morally. He enjoys the possibility of a relationship if the one he is in does not work out. Talk to him if you want, but realize that the relationship he is in may go somewhere. I am a guy in a similar situation. It is frustrating when you see girls that you can't have because you are dating someone else...he will like you flirting with him a little. Keep it light. Maybe later :)

Maybe he likes you and is too shy to do or say anything about it. Maybe he's trying to play it cool and act as though he's not all that into you. Maybe he's not into you at all and you've read too much into it.

i think that this guy did like you but thought that you wouldnt be interested in him so he started talking to other girls and now he just didnt know what to sas. He just didnt want to have to break it to you later if you guys got to know each other more. If he did like you he still probably likes you and you shouldnt give up on him.

maybe because what you did so he's giving you space dont worry he'll come back around
