was what you saw small round and black? It may have been mildew and not mold. Mildew is a pretty common occurence in a poorly ventilated bathroom. You may have unwittingly painted over it with a paint that contained a mildewcide. I would bet that if your bathroom is poorly ventilated, then the mildew will be back again at some point, especially as winter is setting in and the house will be closed up and you"ll be using hotter water for your showers. When it shows up again, scrub the area with one of the many available cleaners made for mildew then repaint with a paint that contains a mildewcide or buy a bottle of mildewcide and add it to the paint yourself.
