Yes, you can.
If the rings are hefty, be prepared for a lot of racket. Depending on the size of the rings, the dryer may have small dents after the bag is dry. If that is okay with you, go for it.
If the rings have any rust on them, do not dry them with important clothing. Wipe the dryer out with a rag and window cleaning fluid after as well.
I'd recommend putting in a couple of dry towels or two. They will soften the noise a little and speed the drying process ever so slightly.

Yes, you can, but only if it in the comfort of your own home in the middle of nowhere. For starters it'll sound like an old baler in action, followed by the nice non-stick paint on the inside of the drum being chipped off rendering the dryer pretty much knackered, and then as a piece-de-resistance the metal rings will get so hot to probably set the bag on fire, or at least give you 3rd degree burns. Or you could just hang it over a radiator. Choice is yours.

Yes. It's not going to damage the dryer or the duffel bag if that's what your asking. However, the metal rings hitting the side of the dryer as it's cycling will occur, so it may be a little noisy and seem like something's going wrong but other that that, it's perfectly fine.... or you can simply remove the metal rings.

You sure can, it's the only way to wash it. My dryer has a removable rack that can be used. You just place the item on the rack and the dryer heats up without moving.

Sure - no different than the metal buttons on your jeans. Just be careful when you take it out - the metal rings will be hot.

It's going to make alot of racket, like large zippers on jackets do. So, if you don't mind the noise, do it.

Just like Melissa said, but if you cant remove the rings just throw a towel or two in there and it quiets it down.

If you can stand the noise, go for it. I would hang it to dry after washing.
