Is my boyfriend trying to tell me that I can't go to college?

My boyfriend went to a community college for one year and then transfered over to a state university that is 30 minutes away.

I will be going to the same community college that he went to and then transfer to the same university he goes to. I'm basically doing the same thing as him.

When he was driving me back to my house, I was telling him about how I'm going to college and will be going to the same university afterwards and he says "Nope, you can't transfer. You're not allowed to. You can't do that. You'll have to start everything over if you go to my university (he didn't have to start over when he went there! and you don't and he knows that) You can't go to that college."

I can't remember what else he said but it sounded like he was totally discouraging me from going to college. Like he was trying to tell me that I can't go to school and trying to manipulate me into not going.

Is my boyfriend trying to tell me that I can't go to college?

Well if he is dump him immediately. He should be supporting you no matter what your decision is. He isnt worth your time if he is telling you where you can go to school.
