I suggest getting some cute bins and baskets from the dollar tree so everything has a place. This way, you can keep your room more organized and easier to clean. Also, put a garbage bin in your room so you can easily throw away papers and trash. If needed, you should also try to downsize some of your stuff by donating it to goodwill or salvation army. Lastly, instead of doing a large amount of cleaning up once a week, do about 10 minutes per day and really stay on top it. This will help you feel better in all other areas of your life because you will have a great, neat place to think, study, and spend quality time. You will also spend a lot less time looking for stuff. Good luck!

You need a system. Whether it's a bunch of plastic buckets on shelves, or just a couple more pieces of storage furniture or an elaborate shelving unit built into the closet.

Since you sound sincere about wanting to keep clean, it's up to you to do what it takes. Not just every day but every minute. When you get home, do not throw your junk in the middle of the bed (to be shoved off at night) and take off all the jewelry at once and throw on your dresser. You need to "have a place for everything". Boxes, bins, drawers, shelves, baskets. Whatever. Then, whenever you put something in there - put it in the RIGHT PLACE. Not just the closest place to where you're standing. Figure out where the best place for each thing belongs, and create a place for it. How about an expandable coffee mug rack for your hats, scarves, sweaters right by the door. A jewelry box or divider system in your top dresser drawer for accessories. Bathroom stuff all goes in the bathroom, with it's own set of buckets and bins.

No one can do this but you. If you want it bad enough, it can happen.

First off, pitch anything that you are not using, for six months or more. Unclutter the room, then see about purchasing some orgainzers for your closet, and for under bed if you need more space. Everything should have it's own place. It takes 21 days to make or break a habit if you are 'willing' to do so. Set some rules for yourself that you don't do this or that until the room is tidy. It will be a great feeling walking into your organized and tidy room and give you a sense of pride. Set aside one day a week for general cleaning. You will find if you keep everything in it's place, it will take much less time tidy up. Organization will flow over into other parts of your life. Now get crackin! lol ;)

Well maybe you should be more organized, no offense, but when you clean your room and stuff and lets say you need to put something away, then you put it away right then and there. If you keep letting yourself go like that, you will never have a clean room. Most likely you need to get in the habit of having a clean room because maybe it could effect your life, no joke. I hope that helps!

Set a schedule, once a week would be recommended on what you have just said. Clean for an hour, just one hour, tops. Do this religiously and in time you will want to see your floor more and more often.

I have been a pig too and I am now at the point of performing cleaning chores on a twice-a-year basis. Yes, I no longer scatter that much and when I don't pack certain things, I usually remember where they are, even if under a pile.

Do you have a place for your dirty laundry or your earrings? Before I got a laundry basket for my room my clothes were everywhere, and now I have a place to put them. Create a junk drawer for things that don't have an everyday use and try to keep them there.
