I'm worried my bacon will spoil?

Question

As we all know, food is expensive. I opened up a package of bacon yesterday, and I forgot I did it, and I opened another one up today. I immediately put it in a Ziploc freezer bag and froze it. Will it be o.k. in there for about a week? I'm not sure of the procedure since it has been opened. I can't afford to get food poisoning...but I can't afford to waste money on bacon either.

If it is frozen it should be fine. Just cook it well, and don't re-freeze it.

Any leftover bacon should be just fine in the ziplock bag frozen. I put unused bacon in the ziplock bag and leave it in the fridge for a week or 10 days and it is just fine. It is a smoked product and will keep for that long in the meat Keeper of your fridge, or the lowest shelf in the fridge.
You can freeze it too for at least a month and half easy. If it was frozen before you used it....it is OK to refreeze it one time. I have many times refroze it two times....and used it for soups. It is just fine.

If it wasn,t frozen before it will be ok to freeze it but if it was frozen then it should not be refrozen after being defrosted.Don't waste it, make a bacon pie with potato,onion and carrots with grated roasted cheese on the top of the potato

So you left it out of the fridge for 24hours? because if it was in the fridge, you have nothing to worry about
