Will you be surprised by the "thief in the night"?

Yes there are verses that say Christ will be like a thief in the night, but we must read further and all scripture.
1 Thessalonians 5:4
"But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief


Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (to the believers)

OMG.

What an Amazing misunderstanding of Scripture.

Thief in the night refers to how quiet Jesus' message is.

It does not scream and proselytize like religion does condemning and judging at every turn.

You need to find a new preacher who has at least a remedial understanding of middle eastern metaphoric content.

I've been caught my house was broken up my stuff scattered i live like my life's is in a whirl wind most of you are young and there is a way of telling if you on the right path are you a neat person and some one others can count on do you work trying to better you life listen to your parent and obey them these things i never did only on occasion so now i'm left in the storm which blows constantly unless i change my was look around you you can see those who were caught by the thief

there is no reason to be caught unaware because Jesus gave us signs to look for before his arrival. we are told to keep on the watch.
