Ceiling fan does not work with compact fluorescent bulbs.?

When I put in all four fluorescent bulbs it will blink a few times a minuet, however if I replace one of the bulbs with a standard 60 watt incandescent bulb the three fluorescent and the one incandescent, all work fine. I was reading in the fan instructions about some sort of voltage limiter, is it possible that it is causing the problem?

Either you have a voltage limiter or a dimmer. There are special bulbs made for these applications.
