Should I get an adult cat or kitten?

My dad said he wants a little kitten, a small small kitten
I tried telling him that they're hard to care for and we're first time cat owners, though we had a dog but it got stolen, plus they could hide
my dad's paying for everything and stuff so should I go with what he wants or try to convince him more?

i think youd like a kitten more. sure its harder but in the long run its better. cuz if its a full grown cat they already have whatever personality previous owners gave them whether its playful, mean, loving, or lazy. with a kitten it will adapt to how you guys act and treat it. therefore it will be easier later on.

you should geta kitten. they are not that hard to raise. all you need to do is feed it and give it water and toys to play with and it will love you and except you as it's mom. If you get an adult cat it might have had some bad times in it's life that you would need to fix, and that might involve money, plus you would still would need to buy food and water and toys. the kitten would be the best way to go.

adult cats need loving too !!! but if your dad wants a kitten its probably better to get a kitten, they connect more to the family if they are young. older cats are hard to change and they require alot of patience when getting used to a new home.

We adopted an older cat and it took a while for her to get used to us.

    Hi again!!!

Get a kitten... so it can grow in your house. It will look at you and your mom as its Mother. that's what mine does. It'll be nice if your nice to it, and it'll be mean if your mean to it. You want a nice kitty I believe :)

    Hope this helps!
