Should I get snake bite piercings?
I have seen people around with the studded snake bite piercings and to me, they look really good. But I don't know if they'd look good on a lot of people, or if there is just a certain type of person they look good on... Could studded snake bites work with any face?
Also, what are the risks of these piercings? Someone told me that the back part of the stud can cause bad gum and teeth damage, but when I researched it (not thoroughly however), I haven't found any real reports of this... So is this true? Can they really ruin your gums and teeth? Also, what are the risks for infection?
Lastly, how easy/hard is it to cover up the holes? I DO plan on getting a good job with a high education, and I know already that big business people like their employees to look pristine and well-made, if you know what I mean. I would probably get a 14 or 16 size piercing, even though I know some people say it is best to get a 12. If I let it close up, would there be a huge scar? Could i easily cover it with makeup (the scar or hole, if I left it open, which I'd most likely do).
Thanks

It's hard to tell, but I think they look okay on just about anyone.
What you've heard about tooth and gum damage is true, but the main causes of it are wearing jewelry of an improper size or material and constantly playing with it.
The holes, especially if you go with 16g, aren't that bad. Yes, they're noticeable, but if you let them close, the marks probably won't be much more than small indentations. Keeping the holes open might be more difficult, but if you've got several years before you'll need to take them out, you should be fine. Makeup will work as long as the piercing is healed.

I know that if you get any kind of piercing, you have to keep it in for about 4 to 6 weeks. You have to cleanse it every day with peroxide so that the hole doesn't get infected and opens nicely. I wouldn't recommend putting any makeup on it for a loooong time after the piercing as there is a big chance that the piercing will become infected.

Honestly.
I think snakebites are super over rated.
I have my monroe and the lower left side of my lip pierced.
Snakebites are starting to grow on the poser side of the planet.

Aren't snake bites so cute?!
I doubt you'll get bad teeth or gums if you take care of your teeth right, and thoroughly clean your studs.
And about the makeup, i dont think you'd get a huge scar, just make sure to clean the hole every once in a while because it might get black, clean it even after you take it off.
and yeah, it'd be easy to cover it with makeup, just make sure it's your exact skin tone. or maybe a little darker to help cover up.
I say you go for it:D

they typically work for any face type, i haven't seen anyone who has them that looks horrible. they do cause damage if you play with them (biting them a lot will wear down your tooth) but i haven't seen many people who got much damage by just leaving them. the risk for infection on snake bites usually aren't that high as long as you wash the outside with antibacterial soap and the inside with mouth wash i believe 2 times or more a day. overcleaning them can cause infection, too so be careful. the scar's are usually just little dots that sometimes look like a freckle or birthmark. makeup would cover it mostly, but i wouldn't worry about the scar, they're typically small.
hope this helps! : )
