He said its over and just wants to be friends!?
my boyfriend and I have a very complicated relationship. We break up all the time but love each other to death. Yet today we fought and realized because of our busy lives can't see each other as often. We started talking and he was saying how this time he means it, that its over. Then he texted the dreaded 'can we just be friends?'Before we started dating we were amazing friends. I know that recently I was being nasty to him because I kind of always thought i was better than him (please dont comment on that, I know how terrible that is). But he has forgiven me so much but I think I may have used up all his forgivness. I realize now that I need him more than anything. i want to want his love back.. any ideas?!?!!? thanks!

Well, I know where you are coming from. I was in the exact same boat and I mean the exact same.
My ex and I decided to break up after two years and stay friends. I wanted him back but I respected his wishes. Eventually we decided to get back together and he broke up with me two days later because his parents didn't approve of me anymore because I had dated someone else right after him.
Now, we are not friends at all. And it turned out that I was better than him. Since we broke up, he has started drinking and smoking. And his new girlfriend came to his birthday party stoned and got drunk and passed out. Now this is in front of friends and his four year old brother and his parents. He was the sweetest guy when we dated. But now all of our mutual friends say he is a jerk.
Moral of the story: Move on and cut off all ties because you will get hurt in the end.
I'm now in a great relationship with a guy I love a lot.

Well, as you said, that recently you have been nasty to him because you felt that you were better than him' That says it all, who wants to be with someone who is nasty to them. It could be that you only want him back now that he has clearly had enough of your 'nastiness'? I think that the best thing you can do now is to arrange to meet him and trash this thing out for once and for all. Good Luck.

Sheesh. You need to let him go and break off contact.
I'm sorry, but you can't love each other to death and be arguing all the time and breaking up every week!!!!
