Why do us kids dont get to answer doors?

like yesturday when i went to answer the door i got in trouble but i do it any other times

Probably because your parents are worried that its a stranger outside and that you could get snatched or hurt.

Maybe have a plan with your parents- like you'll always check out a window to see who is at the door before opening it- if it's someone you know you can open it and invite them in, if youdon't know them you can ask them to wait and go and get an adult. This way you can greet your friends but you stay safe.

It sounds like your parents are just worried about you and wanting to look out for you, it might seem like they're being overbearing but they're doing it for your benefit.
